Regular Volunteering

Are you a local? Our regular volunteers come at least 3x/month to help out with mucking the stalls, poop scooping, cleaning facilities, feeding the residents, and, of course, giving the residents lots of love! This position is ideal for those looking to be someone the animals and our staff can depend on. Everyone starts out as a chore shift volunteer, and if you can make a weekly, 6-month commitment, you may take on a breakfast/dinner/animal care shift. Our weekly volunteers truly keep this place functioning!

UPCOMING ORIENTATION DATES:

Sunday, July 18th, 2024

Saturday, September 7th, 2024

For those making a 6-month or weekly volunteering commitment. Fill out our application and email volunteer@ranchocompasion.org to confirm attendance!

Project Parties & Potlucks

Can only make it out here once in a while? We host weekly volunteer days every Saturday and Sunday. There's lots of work to be done!

Once a month, we host a work party to target bigger projects, followed by a vegan potluck—so get ready to put in work and reap the rewards!

UPCOMING PUBLIC VOLUNTEER WORK DAYS:

Saturday, August 10th

Saturday, November 9th

All are welcome! Fill out our volunteer application and then register here!

Team Volunteering

Corporate Volunteering is the best way to bring team together IRL! Get to know your coworkers through poop scooping, breaking a sweat, and bonding over your newest work crush on Fred Astaire, our handsome turkey tom.

Schools and Volunteer/Affinity Groups of all ages are also invited for hands-on learning, team-building, and giving back!

Typical work days last 3-3.5 hours and include physical labor, with options for all skill/ability levels. Plus, you’ll have some meet-and-greet time with the sanctuary residents!

Other Ways to Help

We are always seeking administrative and professional services to help keep up the hard work of running a non-profit. This is ideal for retirees, individuals who cannot do physical labor, or young students who want to develop their skills. Graphic design, PR, event planning, organizing merchandise, office assistance, donor outreach, videography, and more—all skills we need from time to time. Fill out our application and we’ll be in touch.

Get Started Here!

  1. Fill out our application

  2. Sign our digital waiver (only need to do this once!)

We will do our best to respond to your applications and inquiries as soon as we can! Please check your spam folder in case an email from us doesn’t come through. It should be coming from “volunteer(@)ranchocompasion(dot)org.” Once you submit the waiver, you do not need to re-submit for subsequent visits to Rancho Compasión.
