We’re opening our cobweb-covered doors from 1:00pm - 3:30pm on Saturday, October 30th for an afternoon of fun with the critters! Families with children under 12 are welcome to dress up, play games, and meet some of the furry & feathered residents that call Rancho Compasión home. Hurry and claim your spot now, as we don’t usually host events for children under 12!
We will be offering rotating tours of our animal habitats: the aviary--the abode of our curious rescued hens & roos, and our main barn/paddock, where you can boop goat and piggy snoots! Join us for farm activities like wheelbarrow races, trivia games (flex that animal knowledge!), “rooting around” like pigs for vegan-friendly candies, and take-home goodies. We’ll even have a pumpkin-decorating contest. The judges? Why, the animals, of course!
We are so thrilled to have your family join us for this fun, inclusive event where we can all safely and respectfully interact with the rescued animals. Costumes encouraged!
Contact us if you would like to donate a (clean) jack-o-lantern or other gourds after your Halloween decorations have been taken down in the following weeks. If you would like to donate a pumpkin for the pumpkin decorating contest (to be fed to the animals), we’d be so grateful!
Please note, some parts of the property may not be accessible to strollers (unless they’re “off-road/all-terrain” models). Current COVID-10 precautions will be taken; guests over age of 2 are required to wear masks.
Rancho Compasión is a vegan facility, and all candies and treats offered will be 100% vegan with allergy-free options included. Please do not plan on feeding our residents any snacks from home. Please leave all non-human companion animals at home, too.
Halloween Visitor Day pricing is $35 for all visitors, and registration ends at 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 28th.
For this special Halloween Visitor Day, there is a 16-person maximum limit, so be sure to sign up today to reserve your spot(s). This special Halloween program is designed specifically for children, so if children are not included in your group, we encourage you to select a different Visitor Day.
